| It sems to be a hot back issue that is undervalued. Also the title is tied up in litigation and may never be reprinted. As for whether it is any good or not, I will let you know once I have read the books..... next time I am back home.

It's a great series and well worth the trouble to seek out. Basically it's Captain Marvel, Captain Marvel Jr. and Mary Marvel as if they really existed and what would happen if they could see that the possibility existed that they could be gods on earth. Would they be upright and good or could they possibly go insane with power? This series kind of answers all the questions one could have, and then it takes it to other levels. The Alan Moore issues deal with the basic relationships of the characters and their power, relationships, etc. And then Neil Gaiman takes over for the last few issues to get into what society would be like if Superheroes might be in charge. That's all a basic outline of what to expect. It was really the first of the so-called revisionist superhero idea, and it's got some great bits, issue 15 being a major one. If you can't find the issues, they were collected into trade paperbacks and hardcovers with the exception of the last 2 issues, if I remember correctly. The series does remain unfinished, but the first 16 issues do tell a totally contained story, as do issues 17-22 (I think) which is subtitled The Golden Age. You won't be sorry if you make the effort to find these books, and you should be aware of a book published by TwoMorrows Press titled Kimota - The Miracleman Companion. It tells the whole story of the reason why this series may never be reprinted. It's a great book on comics, as well, and easily worth your time searching for it, especially if you've got questions about the series and aren't sure whether it's worth the investment of time and money! It's one of Alan Moore's best works, and the John Totleben(?) issues are beautiful, artwise!
