I have not worked out what I have already yet but as I know I don't have any G.I. Combats from 1982 I started have with those and ordered a GI Combat 237 - January 1982.

I was doing a similar thing after seeing Mike Ballard's post a year or so ago.  i was focusing on both Marvel and DC from 1983.  That kinda fell by the wayside but now I might rekindle the flames and continue my quest.  I'm heading to megacon in Orlando next week so maybe I'll pick up some issues there.  Good hunting, Earl.  I have a feeling you might have most of those issues already.

Good searching at Megacon. Yes, I think I have most of these issues and got a lot of them when they first came out. I perhaps need 40 or so for the full year, I have not put together a own vs. need list yet for 1982. I know I need all the GI Combats and all the Masters of the Universe mini comics for example. The latter are hard to find as it's impossible to tell the DC originals from the mattel reprints from scans on ebay.

I was planning at some point in the near future to do this for titles from 1983 because it is the year I was born.

I am glad to see that I am not the only person out there with ideas like this.

Also, thanks for the index link. That will come in really handy.

I am so glad I decided to drop in here. Another place to spend too much time. Oh well....

I'm diggin' the "Kirby dots" on LOSH #287.  Very cool covers!

agreed. Being born after the '70s is just foolishness.

I was aiming for the late 60's but got lost. I knew I should have turned left at Albuquerque.

At least I had some decent cartoons to watch as a kid.

I have started to do an audit on what I have, noting any missing issues and also candidates for upgrades (my Captain Carrot issue 8 is only a GD for example).

I have checked A through C so far which reveals...

TitleIssuesTotalOwn
Action527 to 5381212
Adventure489 to 49466
All Star Squadron5 to 16, An11313
Arak Son of Thunder5 to 161212
Arion Lord of Atlantis1 to 222
Batman343 to 354, An81313
Best of DC Digest20 to 31126
Blackhawk251 to 25333
Brave and the Bold182 to 1931212
Camelot 3000111
Captain Carrot and His Amazing Zoo Crew1 to 101010

So that's a pretty good start with just 6 issues of Best of DC Digest missing from A to C.

Earl.
