I am currently looking to get alpha flight #1-12 to my current collection which would complete a run of 1-45. i am finding it difficult to find them as a single lot so as to get a bulk discount and save on postage. i found this on ebay and was wondering if anyone thinks it is a good price?
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110314635147&ssPageName=ADME:X:AAQ:GB:1123
i can buy the single issues from the sellers website but it would be up to £40 (including p+p) so hardly seems worth getting singles!
many thanks!

| Hmmm...A pound apiece...which is equal to about $2 each US...where they are so prevelent they go for about 25 cents each... If it wasn't for the shipping charges I recommend finding them from a US dealer...but considering you wouldn't have to ship them overseas...and Silver Acre has a good reputation...and you'd complete your collection to that point with NM copies...If it were me, I'd go for it... If you end up needing any others PM me...except for the shipping we might be able to work out a trade deal...I have lots of Alpha Flight and I'm always looking for UK product (Alan Class, Tarzan, Phantom, etc...)

If you're only really looking for issues 1-12, you're paying almost 2.5 pounds each. That sounds really expensive to me. Also, I'm always skeptical of a listing that states stuff like "THE AVERAGE GRADE OF THE COMICS IN THIS AUCTION IS NEAR MINT."
If I were you I'd hold off. These issues can't be too hard to find can they? Have you looked in the CPG for sale section? I just took a look at Alpha Flight, and there are about 16 copies of each of the first 12 issues for sale. I bet there's at least one seller who has them all, and you could maybe get a better deal.
Either way you go, good luck. I remember liking Alpha Flight as a kid.
------------- what do I got? see for yourself: http://www.comicspriceguide.com/world/default.asp?m=Speedy-D Thanks to Kree_boy411 I've discovered the Comic Book Realm

| yeah i have looked, but the main problem would be shipping to the UK, its not cheap lol. then there is the annoying import tax should they decide to open your package!

thanks for the help although i have very little comics in my collection right now, let alone UK issues. None the less i am selling issues 1-13 of the UK original x-men. all are in G+ condition, but issue 1 has a mark where the tape was attached to the comic for the "free toy". The sale is on ebay.co.uk but if you are interested let me know and ill pull it.
