Welcome, Sonic, to the thread! We see new blood in here so rarely. Publisher collectors seem to be a minority breed. Please do post what you have in any of the publisher threads, or start a new one if you have a publisher you are interested in that we haven't started yet. (Just search before you start a new one). I do feel that CG was one of the best smaller publishers of the Modern Era. They had good stories (for the most part) and great art. Sorry to see them go.... I look forward to hearing how you are doing on this one.

Hey Argus.
Thanks for the warm welcome.
I really like collecting Publisher Sets and dead universes. There were some companies that put out some quality stuff. I also like the imprints that some of the bigger companies put out as well.
I am currently trying to complete:
Crossgen
VALIANT
First
Eclipse
Malibu Genesis
Innovation
Now
Marvel 2099
Marvel New Universe
Milestone
Impact!
Dreamwave
Piranha Press (My top priority at the moment. Less than 20 books to go)
Cliffhanger
Homage
Paradox Press
I am sure there are others but I can't remember them off the top of my head.
Today's snag: Forge vol.1 to go with the pile I grabbed the other day.
What if this were heaven, wouldn't it be Hell?

Counted the box in the loft and that stands at 268 including retailer reviews and TPBs like Forge, Edge etc.
Once I find the other box that hasn't been databased I will total it all up.
What if this were heaven, wouldn't it be Hell?

I found it. That was quick.
Wow. I shock myself with a burst of efficiency.
124 books in the box so 392 total unless I am being retarded.
Over halfway for me. YAY! Made of win.
What if this were heaven, wouldn't it be Hell?

Sonic_Drift (4/1/2009) I gots me a real purty 1st print Ruse vol.1 TPB and it only cost me a fiver.
No idea how many printings there were. Do any of you guys know?Just the one as far as we know. The Ruse TPB was actually my intro to Crossgen. We have been refining the Crossgen checklist since 2004. You can see the discussions that lead to it on the old CPG forms at.. http://www.comicspriceguide.com/forum2/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=15105&whichpage=1 There are several other editions that have been 'under investigation for a while including some B&W previous, Hardcover Library Editions and a possible Crossgen Website giveaway. Earl.

Earl. Just an update... The "Library Editions" have unique ISBN's (Or International Standard Book Numbers)...which means they are authentic seperate editions...but limited to libraries only. Confirmed this with some manga books I picked up at the local Library Sale that had regualr and "LE" copies of the same books... Still trying to get word through an old girlfriend who is a State Librarian, to see if she can get me a contact with the company that is doing these. If successful I will have a complete list of what they've "hardbound"... ...as long as the wife doesn't mind me talking to an old girlfriend...

| Shadow, As long as we are NOT going to count the library editions as part of the publisher set, you do all the checking you want. (Oh....and I am still working on getting a bunch of CG's in. I picked up around 30 issues at the KC con for 25 cents a piece. )
