Did you just win that Swee Pea on ebay in the last week?  I watched 2 of them go by just to see what they would bring.   That book usually sells pretty high.  It's one of those hard to find Four Colors like that Tom and Jerry one.  I have never seen that Tom and Jerry FC in any condition other than VG- or lower.

Nice foreign comics you posted elsewhere as well.

Thanks for sharing!!

Yup...just this weekend...

It's not in the best shape...but the price was right and I'd have to agree with you on how hard it is to find...

The Hi & Lois is in FN/VF...so I'm happy with it...

The Charlie McCarthy's...the #3 is from Dell's file copies...and it's a nice VF. The #4 is not a file copy but it's a keeper anyway...

ah VERY NICE HeadRush!!! Your's beats mine. Mine is raw and probably around a 7 maybe?? Did I ever post a scan?? Sometimes books come in the mail...and I file them before I scan them LOL

Very nice score though. I love that cover. A Flintstones MUST. You did very well !!!!

Thanks colorpit. I think what I paid for it was a deal. It lists about $54 for a vf book and $30 or so for a fine book I think in a overstreet from a few years back ungraded. I paid a total of $30 for it and its graded. Seems like a bargain to me.

I think your books by far surpass any of my recent buys.

So you haven't bought a supple of mylars yet I see in another thread? Whats holding ya back bud?

I'll bet your overall collection surpasses mine HR

I am not completely sure why I haven't bought mylars yet.   Probably a few reasons....one....I'll probably be addicted to them and don't want the extra expense right yet.......another........small worry that I'll order the wrong ones....and later find out I should have ordered something else.   I would love to see a sample of each that they offer so I can compare and decide on my personal preference.   I would even pay the cost of each to do so.......   I have checked 2 of my LCS and they each only carry one kind of mylar.....and they are SEALED so I can't even see them.....but i know they are the open top ones that I don't like.

I'll figure out something soon.   As I know i am wasting my money now on regular bags/boards.

On a comic note.....I'll have some books to post soon as they should be arriving any day now.

Have a good night!!

Cool, always look forward to your recent buys. You have a collection that is much different than my own.
As for wasting your money on regular bags and boards I doubt that you are. It is just a common problem of having to re-bag them much sooner than mylars. Hell I don't plan on re-bagging my mylars for at least ten years if not longer or ever.

Thanks HR!!!  For all the info you sent me.  I'll get on it.  So let me ask one final question.  Which is thicker, a mylite2 or a mylite4?   I actually saw some mylite4's a day ago and got to look them over.   It made me wonder what a mylite2 was like in comparrison.

I really need to get on the mylar wagon.  I just won some more comics....all worthy of mylar.

I"ll post them when they arrive.

Thanks again for the help and information.  Very helpful.

Mylites2 have a 2 mil thickness and mylites4 have a 4 mil thickness.

Mylites2:
- 2 mil thick Mylar D® pay $10.99 per 50

Mylites4:
- 4 mil thick Mylar D® pay $19.99 per 50

Both work the same just the mylites4 are thicker. I myself feel comfortable with the mylites2 for protection. It's not like your miss handling your books unless you really want to bomb proof them with mylites4's thickness. If ya got the extra cash have at it
