What did you grow up watching?? That's a big question. I remember the Super Friends, Thundarr, Turbo Teen, Mr. T (cartoon), Rubik the Amazing Cube, Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends, The Incredible Hulk (cartoon and live action), The Six Million Dollar Man, The Bionic Woman, The Galaxy Rangers (which is one of my all-time faves), He-Man, The Super Mario Brothers, The Super Powers Team (another fave), Voltron, G-Force (reruns), Robotech (YEAH!!!), Knight Rider, Air Wolf, Manimal, Misfits of Science, Street Hawk and Speed Racer (reruns). That's all that I can remember right now. Great memories. But most of the time it was parents choice, as my mom didn't like TVs in the bedrooms. We watched reruns a lot. Gunsmoke, MASH, High Chaparral, The Rockford Files, Bonanza, I Dream of Jeannie, Ironside, Perry Mason, The Beverly Hillbillies, The Munsters, My Three Sons, Gidget (which ended with my having an unhealthy fixation with Sally Field. How I loved her), Kojak, The Night Stalker, Kung Fu, Star Trek and of course Little House on the Prairie. Much of this stuff I didn't like...but the westerns I adored. In fact my dad (RIP) and I had the same favorite movie, High Noon. I can watch High Noon over and over and never tire of it. See, I told you. Big question. TEX Mr T cartoon...now that was funny. I remember that one too. I kinda want them to release it on DVD just so I can see it one more time hahaha Spider-man and his Amazing Friends is still my fav spidey cartoon to date. I liked the Hulk series that followed it as well. He-man was great in it's time, I tried to watch it recently and couldn't find much enjoyment in it now. I used to watch a lot of Scooby Doo, Flintstones, Alvin & the Chipmunks, and M.A.S.K. Remember the Blue Falcon with his wondermutt dog?? Or how about the USA Cartoon Express which showed lots of Speedracer, Grape Ape, Hair Bear Bunch, Jabber Jaw, Laff-A-Lympics, etc?? I loved those too!! Too many to even remember. Have a good day Tex! Good Luck on your Hulk 1. Thanks cp, Everything worked out with my Hulk comic. $4 shipping is acceptable, no? TEX like. Yeeeeah!! I had forgotten! I remember the USA Cartoon Express. How could I have forgotten? I loved that show! M.A.S.K.? I think I remember that. Flying Cars right? Good show! What about Pole Position, Pac Man, The Mighty Orbots (I think that's right), The Dukes of Hazzard (cartoon), The Shirt Tales, Gummy Bears, and there was one that I truly adored, but I can never remember the name. The main character's name was Jason or something and he and his allies has these vehicles that were part machine and part plantlife. That show was the bomb!! I wish I could remember the name and see it again! Thanks cp! It's good to remember when life was much easier and simpler. Man, no mortgage, no stress, I just had to take care of my grades, my chores, and the youth football team I was on. Man. To be a kid again.... TEX

Yes!! It sound like we are the same age group NDPsycho. I used to get up at 6:30 and 7 am on Saturdays too!! Then I could watch all the toons til about 12pm when the cartoons began ending. Was it 12 or 1pm? Then it was time to go outside and play until the streelights came on. It seemed like all the kids came outside at the same time. I never see any advertisements for Saturday morning toons anymore. Either we're at swim meets, soccer games or other extra-curricular activities, but if we're home, we watch Disney XD, the Disney Channel or the Cartoon Network, all of which play some type of children's programming usually anyways. What happened to Saturday morning toons? TEX TEX

Ah... Saturday Morning Cartoons.
(I'm in my 40s, so I remember some slightly earlier ones.)
It was a big thing back then... and it's gone now.
We had FOUR channels on the TV (ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS).
And Saturday morning was FOR cartoons. You had to wait ALL WEEK for them.
And when the new season was coming up, sometimes they had a special "Preview" show.
My grade-schoolers can catch cartoons any day, any time, on at least 10 different channels.
It is not special to them. It is a part of normal every-day life for them.
In a way, that makes me a little sad.

Oh please, you couldn't even turn into Bill Bixby.

spruce213 (11/20/2009) Are u an Image guy Tex? If so, which are the hottest Image books out there?Heya spruce. I wouldn't say that I am an Image Comics guy per se, but I do like Image a lot. Here are what I think is hot: 1. Walking Dead 2. Invincible 3. Haunt 4. Chew 5. Image United (groundbreaking series! 6 artists, 1 project) 6. Proof (I have watched prices steadily rise on #1) 7. Cowboy Ninja Viking (It's 100% fresh and a good read. Couple that w/ a low print run) Go to it spruce! TEX
