WOW!!!  That's just ridiculous!! I was actually looking at both of those issues at my LCS the other day, they wanted $1250 for GS #1 and it didn't look any better than yours does. Great pickup Tex!

I don't have any info to compare when it comes to grades that people are buying and what they are paying. My lcs has no back issues to speak of...well they have a box of CGC stuff that I've never seen move. They don't take back-issues for credit either. I don't know what people are buying, except by using ebay. If I had the money available, and I happened by that lcs at the right time AND if the comic didn't look like dog cookies, I probably would've become the huckleberry that bought it, LOL!!
I REALLY, REALLY wanted this comic. Usually I'm very patient and I can wait forever, but those comics the I mentioned above and The Brave and the Bold #28 make me crazy when I see them. Luckily I got B&B #28 for a steal last year.

Sorry I haven't been able to hang out as much but I am swamped with work and my internet has been down intermittently throughout the week. What can ya do? You can do what I did.
1. First be nice.
2. Be slightly irritated.
3. Be nice again when they give you a discount on your bill. 
I think that it was only fair since we need the internet for both work and play. I don't like going to a coffee house just to use the wi-fi.
