| I sold a 4 issue lot via fixed rate price, free shipping. The buyer wrote me and said he received his order, except, their was nothing in the package except the packing slip printed from PayPal. He asked what I was gonna do about very nicely too, bythe way. He said it was the first time he has had that happen in his all long history of buying on Ebay. (BTW, he only has a low rating, which made me kinda suspicious). I shipped it via Media Mail, un-insured ofcourse. Also, he paid through PayPal. What would you other sellers do about this situation? I'm sending out another set today, as I have severe, but I wonder if I'm being ripped off.

You packed this yourself? And he says that he got the package, unmolested, and only the paypal slip was in it? That's gotta be BS. I 100% doubt that the mailman (or anyone else for that matter) went through the trouble of taking out the comics, resealing the package, and delivering it to your buyer. That's a ridiculous idea.

| If you send it registered...it has to have paper tape on the seams and it is postal stamped to ensure against tampering... While it may sound bogus...and it very well could be...as a merchant, you need to give your customer the benefit of the doubt...and unless you take the precautions ahead of time to cover your end...that's the way it goes... I would send a second set, but only with all the precautions adhered to...it makes you look like the concerned merchant that people would want to do business with... I think I would also request the original package returned for inspection...and to further document any additional transactions with the person in question. A full layout of what happened might be appropriate in the feedback as well.

I do this for my country, and I will continue to do so.” "They are blind to history's clear lesson, for history teaches with unmistakable emphasis that appeasement but begets new and bloodier war. It points to no single instance where this end has justified that means, where appeasement has led to more than a sham peace. Like blackmail, it lays the basis for new and successively greater demands until, as in blackmail, violence becomes the only other alternative." "Why," my soldiers asked of me, "surrender military advantages to an enemy in the field?" I could not answer. - Gen Douglas MacArthur

| ...Dude your package had to be weighed... Shadow was here...

Make sure to do all of your correspondence through the Ebay message system so it's logged with Ebay in case of later Paypal dispute.
But other good points have been brought up.
Your package did have to be weighed.
You want to give your customer the benefit of the doubt.
And a number of others.
