Looks like they are rebooting Black Panther again with a new #1 even though the series has just barely cracked issue 40. And what's worse they are going to put Echo in the lead role as the Black Panther???? Are they smoking crack? She's not even black so that completely loses their point of trying to appeal to the afro american comic reading public. How the heck does a D lister that Bendis dreamed up in Daredevil end up pulling her own title? This one has me totally confused. I have been liking BP as a title but I won't be making the switch on this new series.

| The thought just crossed my mind today... what if Marvel went belly up in the next year or two? I mean, really, comics cost too much now... from what some people have posted the only money they make is from movies... they keep putting out crap/rebooting the good stuff... anyone else think they're on the fast track to oblivion??? Oh, yeah, about the Black Panthress... LAME. Let me reiterate that... LAME. Give it to me one more time!... LAME. (^^^ Last line from the Queen song 'Hammer To Fall') (Yes, I'm silly. You would be too at 3:13 in the morning.) Y'all may not get to vote me in as President of the United States, but you may want to put in the good word for me to take Joe Q's spot at The House of Ideas, 'cause that boy has got some bad-bad-bad ones right now! The ad with Echo was just a teaser. The identity of the new Black Panther will be a mystery until they decide to lay it on us. Echo was the first teaser and T'Challa's bodyguards are in the second. This may turn into Rulk all over again.
My comic collection could beat up your comic collection -- http://www.comicspriceguide.com/world/default.asp?m=DoctrMidNite

Ya I see now they are rotating who it might be. One of his guards or his sister or apparently Monica Rambeau (Captain Marvel) are the other options. However you slice it this just doesn't make sense. Take a character struggling to keep his sales in his own monthly but with a promising Animated series coming out this year that could provide a boost and.....reboot him as a D list female character in the Marvel U. Seriously worst idea since Brand New Day.

| I thought the Sue Storm teaser as Black Panther was cool. And Barack Obama soaps my buns in the shower. Yes, that cringe you just did is exactly what I think of this BP BS.
