Are you selling it? If not, just get Mylars and acid-buffered backing boards. They are cheaper and actually protect your books in an archival state. "Slabs" cannot do that.

i tend to agree with the previous two posts and i've been weighing this topic for myself. i think the way I'd approach it would be to look at the ones you know you want to part with and research the production numbers and the cgc census ( a previous post in this thread mentioned "homework") and see how many copies of your book were printed (lower numbers are obviously more in demand for completionists) and look in on FEEbay if you get 200 search results right off the bat that's not so good but if you have one of a book that only realized 2 or 3 thousand produced send it off and reap the reward for a good effort. Bear in mind though that even if the signs point to a profitable auction things could still tank. just my two cents.............. hope i helped somehow. best of luck
