So they didn't leave Professor X in his coma for very long, not terribly surprising but I figured they might go for 6 months to a year at least. I'm still super confused how he took one in the head and is totally fine in what amounts to a couple weeks in comic book time.

The issue itself was a pretty classic flashback issue. Some nice art on the flashback sequences to all the times in Magneto/Prof. X's lives where they had big moments. I have to confess I'm not really in the know on these Marauder characters who are taking up a big part of this little arc. I can't see how anyone is going to beat Xavier on the mental plane though.

Anyone know why they decided to rename this title Legacy? Doesn't really make any sense to me.

I haven't read it, but it annoys me about the name change of the title yet again.

Read it. Thought the art was great but it was a pretty boring read to say the least. But Im biased for a couple of reasons. I dont like carey's writing (1)mainly for his character choices for his team when the title was still x-men which I didnt like BUT his writing on ultimate human was boring too and I love iron man and 2) professor x isnt that intereting a character to me.)

BS Eriqui,

X-MEn 209 was by far a great read, if anyone can take on Charles in the astral plane its Exodus or Shadow King.

I love the flashback scenes, Eatons art is good, hopefully he is a quick artist to do monthly with his style.

Carey has been DEAD ON with his writing and characterization since he came aboard. I didnt like the line up either but he won me over with the Blinded by the light arc. I went back and read supernovas and was like damn. he is better than Bru.

Probably the third best X writer (after Claremont/Lobdell)

Great issue.

Im really not a big fan of Carey at all, nor was I a fan of Scott lobdells stuff. Careys choices for his team just made things worse. On top of that bachalos art was too hard to look at

OMG, the best X Writer right now is Carey with David a close second but he doesnt really colunt, cuz he aint doing traditional superhero stuff right now.

But Carey right now is better than Bru as far as the X books are concerns.

The San Fran stroyline is so filler its pathetic.

Like I said before Rise/Fall was his epic and he put all his eggs in one basket blew his load and now everythign else is ok.

Carey has been on since.

I defer to your X-knowledge Fuj, for my money though I have enjoyed Uncanny even post Messiah more than X-men: Legacy. The Wolvie, Nightcrawler, Colossus storyline way more than makes up for any lameness the SF Hippy thing has to it.
