OK I know this is probably a silly question but....
I have a copy of Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight #1 from Nov. 1989. I am confused because I cannot find this particular cover on any image I have found online. The cover is a picture of a shaman mask with a black background, with a broad blue border to the cover. It very much resembles issues 2, 3, 4, etc of the original Legends of the Dark Knight series about the "shaman." I am confused since every image I find online for Legends of the Dark Knight #1, 1A, 1B, 1C show a silhouette of Batman's body with various colored backgrounds, yet none show the cover that I have.
The cover is not a simple silhouette of Batman with some particular background color, but rather a pretty badass painting of a shaman mask. I have Legends of the Dark Knight #3 and it is very similar to my #1 except it the shaman mask is broken up to reveal a human face as opposed to the solid one piece mask on issue #1.
Can anyone please help me determine which printing/issue/etc I have? I will send a digital photo of the cover for anyone interested.
PS - Batman is a badass!!!!!

Honestly I didnt look for the comic..I think you are prolly more intrested in the value. It sounds as if you own 1 of the rarer variants. This is worth Top DOllor. You should buy a copy of Overstreet guide book. You can get this from amazon.com..Make sure you get the latest volume

Thx for your response, I like your sig
Yes I am curious of the value but I am genuinely most perplexed about why this issue (cover art) is so hard to pin down via any online search. Is it THE FIRST printing of Legends of the Dark Knight???? or is it some rare other printing??? I think it is probably some common issue that is not well represented via internet cover scans, but I would just love to find out once and for all!
