Well if figure why not have my own page I can only piggy back on PEPS for so long.

I picked up this flyer at Jesse jame's houses in st joseph missouri

okay I started collecting in 1983 and got my first job at the friendly neighborhood comic book store in las vegas.  I was paid in comics, bags and boards. When I moved off to arizona my punk idiot nephew sold my collection for drugs.  It took my about 5 years to get back into it.

up to last year I collected all #1's (2) each one for trade and more of a Avengers fan, Green lantern, and golden age collector.  But because of cost have cut my purchase for new product in half.  Like Pep I get all my back issues from the 5 half price books in my neighborhood. Seattle area.

I really like collecting and enjoy my free time when I'm on the cpg forum.  i don't really stroll the other sights, and like the group of people on here.

Okay so this is my little blog.  so i hope you like what I write if not well it could be worse you could be alone on saturday night reading your mint copy of NFL SUPER PRO!!

Okay so I went to H/P.BKS for the second night in the row. They filled their .10 cent box again and mr manager again put some great stuff in there here is what i got tonight.

Again sorry i dont have a dig camera yet so Cpg pictures.

 yes I was actually afraid when i got to the counter they weren't going to sell it to me.  I gave it about a 8.8 little crease in the corner.

  This was a great find it was like buying it right out of the box about a 9.2.

I got 3 early conan the barbarians

all to together 78 comics for $7.80 booked at $197.00

yesterday i got 70 for $7.00 and booked it out at $350.00

The book amount doesn't matter just nice to get a deal right now.

This guy actually came up to me but didn't say anything to me but I think he knows I'm cherry picking but I'm taking a lot of drek  but need them for fills.

I saw a cool comic COLLECTOR name today on line CILF HUNTER = (COMICBOOKS I LIKE to FIND) LOL ONLY A FEW OF YOU ARE GOING TO GET IT (kree).  AND MOST OF YOU THAT DO GET IT WON'T ADMIT IT.  Sorry didN'T see my cap locks on.

okay Wp please remember this is my own thread not my "are you a Rock fan" post LOL

okay all, happy hunting and get the good stuff before your neighbor does.

Jesse James

 thanks King

You're getting some pretty good stuff.

Especially those 70 & 78 lot for under $10.

Nice find on that Adventure into Fear, especially at an 8.8 grade!?  Seriously love that book, I bought three copies of that book before I found a copy I was happy owning.  I'm totaly envious of your HP books location!  I just moved from Milwaukee, WI to Superior, WI which is right by Minnesota and there is no HP books anywhere close!!!!  oh the deals I would find...  If that guy at your HP Books has no idea how to price comics, you should find out when they price them and get there when he's pricing/stocking so you get first dibs.  Befriending the person who stocks/prices the comics is a good idea too, you may even be able to look through all the unpriced comics before the other customers do and clear them out.  Also, you never know when you'll stumble upon some real gems, and I'm sure you're not the only one buying comics there, so go as often as possible.

Okay another day at the farm.  I was in meetings all day today and accomplished NADA! I only had a couple of comic book moments so here we go;

My stupid thought;

Why can't the bag company sale 100 packs of bags and boards all ready together.  I hate doing this,  it is sooo boring putting 100 bags and 100 boards together and of course like stated before at the end having extra bags.

My Rant;

two months ago i bought 200 self seal bags.  I thought this was so cool.  Until I decide I wanted to read one.  It took me forever to try to unseal it and finally just used scirrors. Has anybody used these before?

My Buys;

I didn't buy anything today.  So I thought I would post my top three buys from 1/2 price books.

  I paid $3.00 for this and really like it.  I wanted to read it but the pages are very delicate and havent yet.  I gave it a 7.5 rating.

  I paid $12.00 for this one.  It started at $55.00 and for two months they kept on reducing it.  I have read it and really enjoyed the story line.  I gave it a 8.2

 This is one of my favorite buys I paid $25.00 for it and just love this one I have read it three times over the last 2 years since I bought it.  I have had a couple of offers for $175.00 and $135.00 for it but decided to keep it.  I gave it a 8.0  you can see ssome marvel chipping on it but some of you can tell isn't.

I had one new Thread today "what percentage have you read in your collection"

I have replied 8 times to post today.

I talked to the wife (soon to be on the 29th of october getting married) she is in milan.  So I have about three more days to buy some more comics before she gets home.

Okay finally They had return of the jedi on so I watched that and watched the Sarah Palin rap which I though was great on SNL.  If you havent seen this regardles if you like her or not it was hilarious.

Oh and Bobo I knew the previous manager and she would call me so i would come down a hour befoe she would put them out this new guy isn't letting me do that.  so will see in the future.

Okay everybody happy hunting!!!

There are no stupid thoughts, just stupid questions.

Nice buys from HPBooks.  You are an inspiration to all of us.

My first day in a long time was freaking boring I played Poker all day and played a video game.  I went to a small h/p books in lynnwood, WA.

My rant for the day is;

i went to Mc D's today and got a big mac big sized meal.  i thought maybe I could win like I don't know $100,000. or something.  So all happy i grabbed my drink and pulled the tabs and got electric company and north carolina.  Then I grab my fries and got electric company and north carolina so kind off mad so then grabbed my bic mac box and guess what electric company and north carolina....... I went to the manager and he said it was luck of the draw so I said okay I want a large frie and guess what electric company and north carolina.  I sent mc donalds a email complaint an we will see what happens.

Buys

I only bought 10 comics today

3 for 25. cents

4 for .38 cents

2 for .50 cents

 I got this one for $7.00 and put it at a 8.

I have always liked KANG for some reason I had this issue about 15 years ago but re read it again.

My one stupid thought for the day;

why can't there be a device for long or short boxes that serves as a filler when your box isn't full.  I hate when the comcis angle forward or slide.  I try to but some side ways so they don't do that.  sometimes I put just a regular book depending on how much space there is.

I have now watched the SNL  Sarah palin alaska rap for the 5 th time and still crack up when she shots the moose. I can't believe amy P. is nine months pregnant but still doing the show.

okay all have a great night and happy hunting this weekend.

What UP my Brothas and sistas!!!  Its the weekend finally to a long freaking week.  No stock market for two days.  I have two more days and im off getting married in my home town of Vegas.  I'm currently hiding the 175 comics I bought this week for the future wife who flys in from work tonight.  I have no bags or boards so will be kind of tricky to do.

Okay so my rant.

So I go to have my prenup done and the lawyers says what do you want to maintain as your own if a separation occurs.  So naturally I say......  My comic book collection, my diecast collection and my tampa buccanneer collection.  He then says okay and how about the real important stuff....  I say like what?  what about the houses and financial holdings.  I say what about them? So I listened and at the end I say well I can always buy another house or work harder but My comics are over 25 years of collecting them now.  So he was fine with it and laughed a little.

my buys

nada thing but reading the following series from amazing spiderman

what sucks is I didn't buy the 363 issue and so now im in limbo.

my stupid thoughts

wouldn't be so cool.......if there was a site that you go to and look up your favorite super heroe or action heroe and see their history against every body they have fought.

I would be  interested as well in what villians has lost the most battles.  In fact I'm going to post a thread on that one.

Okay all we made it through another week. good luck to everybody this week happy hunting and may all your comics come bagged and boarded.

jj
