Buffyfan (4/9/2008)
After all, no one wants a Team America book no matter what the grade.

Buffyfan and HHHarry are basically going where I was going with my question. The law of supply and demand should cause slabbed book prices to come down as compared to raw books as more of them are submitted. For example if you have 1,000 Amazing Spiderman #1 in CGC 9.8 instead of only 1 obviously the CGC prices of that book will drop. It's just a matter of when or if the people that are holding onto those raw books start submitting them. GG
If there is a surge in quantity of ASM #1s in CGC 9.8, the prices of the book will drop whether it is graded or not. Why does everyone cling to the notion that CGC is gaining false demand and/or false value for books (outside of currents)?!? Makes no sense to me.

CGC merely sets an ageed standard for grade. The price that the comic sells for is always based on demand. the more comics dumped into the supply line, the less the demand...therefore, less $$$. Nothing really to do with CGC at all.
