So someone brought up the amount of time it takes to read an issue of Buffy is it pertains to ratio of comic books per episode of live action. The general consensus seems to be about 10-12 minutes, or, 3-4 comics = approximately one episode.

With that in mind, I can't help but feel like I've been getting kind of ripped off (Secret Invasion obviously being a huge catalyst for this thinking as it would cost 300 dollars per person to read the entire Secret Invasion storyline). Is the digital revolution around the corner? Because I'm ready for it, bring it on! I'm spending 30 bucks a week on comic books just to read the bare minimum! I can't count the number of comics I would *like* to be reading if not for the price tags.

Yes they are, but it hasn't stopped me from buying them. I would love to see cover prices drop at least a bit, but we all know it will never happen.

I get a fantastic discount on my comics including bagged and boarded.  however even with that its getting very tough.  I stopped collecting nascar diecast, which is about $40.00 a pop.  So i could continue buying what I want but at sometime I will have to slow down some. When you start seeing the

STILL ONLY 2.99 then I will start worrying.

right now I get a new issue if its $2.99 for 1.95

3.50 for $2.25

and buy all my back issues from half price books.  Who right now is buying a lot of the LCS back stock.

Aside from 3 or 4 titles...my New Issue buying has decreased to almost nada...
Like jesjet1969 most of my purchases are back issues from 1/2 PB's......

I would agree with the majority and say yes! But I voted option #3

If they were printed on cheaper paper the price might would be cheaper. But on the bright side, they'll last longer with the current paper used in printing them.

what do you mean by "getting"?

in other words, they're TOO EXPENSIVE NOW.

I've dropped 14 books in the last few months... it needed doing anyway, expense was only part of it.

Meh..Not really when it comes to US price...But in Australia certainly..They are getting horribly expensive.

Now with the Aussie dollar doing cruddy against the US my buying of comics is going down in general since my shopping was done all online and over seas.
