I thought it might be fun to create a thread showcasing some of the more obscure comix, mainly from the Jay Kennedy era, that have come and gone on eBay, assembling a list of highest realized prices in the process.
Artpolice Digest #1 ($26.88, 09/28/2008)
Book of Falling, The ($41.11, 06/09/2009)
Brand X Comics and Drawings ($41.00, 10/05/2008)
Ike and Mamie ($72.89, 06/12/2009)
Kum & Go Komix ($41.00, 09/28/2008)
Monday Funnies #1, The ($36.00, 10/05/2008)
Monday Funnies #2, The ($36.00, 10/05/2008)
Monday Funnies #3, The ($36.00, 10/05/2008)
Monday Funnies #4, The ($36.00, 10/05/2008)
Monday Funnies #5, The ($15.05, 10/05/2008)
Monday Funnies #6, The ($36.00, 10/05/2008)
Monday Funnies #7, The ($36.00, 10/05/2008)
Monday Funnies #8, The ($51.00, 10/05/2008)
Monday Funnies #9, The ($62.76, 10/05/2008)
Stashbox ($51.00, 06/16/2009)
Sundae Funnies #1 ($87.00, 06/16/2009)

| Ha, you beat me to it. I was about to post about stewlel's latest round of eBay auctions. I was VERY suprised to see how high the Monday Funnies issues went for. I had the opening bid on all the ones I needed, but was blown away on every one of them. stewlel has some very cool auctions, I always enjoy buying from him and tonyd23 as they are both VERY quick to ship.

| I was in desperate want of that #9, which is why I bid so high. He really does have a lot of cool things that you don't see every day.

| I wondered if that was you, Brother J. I outbid you on one but could not see going as high as the final prices.

bdcues (10/5/2008) I wondered if that was you, Brother J. I outbid you on one but could not see going as high as the final prices.Yeah, I only have two of the Monday Funnies issues (#4 and #5). I picked them up cheaply on the CGC board, so I was hoping these wouldn't go for much more than the opening bid. Guess they are in a lot more demand than I thought.

I don't know if you remember the eBay buyer "minicomix" (who has seemingly disappeared), but I sold duplicate copies of #1 and #2 to him for around $40 each about a year ago and they were only VF.
The appeal to me, where this series is concerned, is the fact that it had such a small print run and was only really distributed regionally.

| no idea if this is the highest realized price, but they went for quite a bit more than the last set this seller sold did: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320306778929 Congratulations, Rev. Not sure why the underbidder bid this one up as he won the last set of these. I guess he wants to hoard them. Just wondering, is that Good Eatin' Comix the same as Gunfighter #1 or are they separate books? I know the wiki doesn't have a picture of issue #1, so I have no idea.

Too bad he didn't have the 3. Was the 2 a 1st or 2nd and did he send the good eating or the gunfighter 1? Makes me feel old, In the days, the 1,4, and 5 were no big deal --- $20 category.
But the 1st 2 and the 3 were tough. Now, you got a great deal. Almost my resale buying price. One comment about highest prices realized. EBay can set some records, especially if lagund is in it. However, Heritage can come up with good ones. Yet, the highest prices are from private sales. The Nash collection got some really high prices and, while I won't mention them, I got prices that are whack. For example, I've gotten somewhere between $500 and $700 for the same 4 that Rev won. I just don't remember the exact amount.
I want your undergrounds

I was trying to figure out who b***i (or some such) was, but you're right, it's the same buyer who won the last lot. Man, if I got them for $82.50, I would've been very happy indeed! Still, I know I got a good deal and am excited to finally add these to my collection.
As far as I know, Good Eatin' and Gunfighter #1 are two separate books.

Hey, guys, I just wanted to jump in to say that the the anonymous bidder IDs on eBay truly are just that. The first and last letters aren't actually the first and last letters of the bidder's ID. It's completely ridiculous that they make it look that way but it's just a fake-out.
