Frank Quitely's variant ASBR cover Rate Topic Display Mode Topic Options Author Message Havok Posted 4/11/2008 10:43:04 PM Mild Collector Group: Forum Members Last Login: 11/28/2008 3:35:39 PM Posts: 244, Visits: 263 My issue isn't with the costume itself, because as much as I dislike it, I recognize that it will always be the iconic Robin costume for all of time.. what I have a hard time believing is that the Robin as he is written currently in All Star Batman and Robin would agree to wear such a thing.  If this book would have gone the way of All Star Superman and been a quirky "classic age" kind of book, then the costume would have fit perfectly, but thus far we've got a Joker that looks to be as crazy as any ever written, a Batman that has been absolutly nuts for 10 issues, and a Robin with about the worst attitude problem he's ever had, and a kid who just kicked the holy hell out of Green Lantern to the point of killing him... now you mean to tell me that a kid that is willing to go that far and is that crazy would agree to wear that costume?  If he at least said "Golly Batman..." or "Gee Wiz" or perhaps threw in some "POWS!" "ZAPS!" and "BONKS!" I MIGHT believe it... bt as it is right now, that costume only makes me go crazy how out of charactor it is for him.   Post #4633 « Prev Topic | Next Topic »
