| That is a special wraparound cover for the BATMAN & CAL RIPKEN Vs. The PENGUIN insert comic. This was a limited print run given away at Baltimore's Oriole Park at Camden Yards in 2007 and celebrating Geppi's Entertainment Museum. I'm a huge Orioles fan, but wasn't at that game. 10,000 were printed to be handed out to patrons at the Baltimore Orioles game on May 4, 2007, but only a scant few have survived the fate of being folded and stuffed into pockets, or being splattered with mustard or fingerprints from kids greasy hands. I've been calling and e-mailing comic shops in and around Baltimore in hopes of obtaining a copy, but without any luck.

I'm so curious as to what Cal Ripkens purpose in the story would be. He probally transforms his entire body into iron in refference to his 'iron man' status, or hopefully he simply appears in every panel of the comic, not really doing that much but appearing in every single panel without missing a single one.

Ian Levine (11/7/2008)
Earl Davis (10/25/2008)
A new one to look out for... What's this and what was it done for ?? I have acquired a few rare ones you've never seen before, and will get them scanned. Here is the news article relating to the above promo... Fashion maven Diane von Furstenberg recently launched a line of Wonder Woman-inspired fashions and accessories at her signature Manhattan store. DC Comics Prez. Paul Levitz was among those in attendance at that kick-off party and gave his impressions of the event on Newsarama’s blog, along with revealing that DC brand manager Cheryl Rubin helped spearhead the project. The DVF holiday fashion line also includes a matching comic book written by Furstenberg and illustrated by avant-garde artist Konstantin Kakanias. Called BE THE WONDER WOMAN YOU CAN BE, the $25 tabloid-size book features some classic Wondy material, along with the stories of modern three woman, Diva, Viva, & Fifa (DVF, get it?), who become empowered after seeing Wonder Woman in their own reflections. Or something. Topless Robot has a few scans and plenty of snark.
