Ian I imagine you are aware of the following comic cavalcade reprint giveaways

Carl Akeley...He Brought Us Africa

and this LARGE logo variant of the "Tomorrow - the world" issue

as opposed to the more common version ( although the dc index site uses the above version )

there are some books you may not have seen on the old forum thread

very obscure for some reason , this was included in a programme for a motorsports event & was listed in the magazines section of previews

Colour Front Cover - Black & White remainder variant on Mask giveaway # 1

American Cancer Society "Smoking is for squares" flyer c.1964

I presume you know about the 4 Alex Ross cover issues of tv guide featuring a Smallville comic strip

now there's some books you may be able to give me some info on

Wizard world wild times wildcats #0 - are there two variants of this from different cons ( other than the standard edition polybagged with wizard)

Colour variants on superman's buddy are listed by overstreet - have you seen any?

Is this Giant canadian item a comic?

Have you got this british giveaway pictured in one of Dennis Gifford's books?

and finally can you add to the list of parks which had versions of the six flags guide comic I know of :

Ohio; Over Georgia; Darien Lake; Great adventure & Wild Safari; St. Louis; Magic Mountain; Great America (25th anniversary); Kentucky Kingdom

Here's a few scans from my collection ( only one is a giveaway) - I know these are all considered scarce & people like to know how many are about

I finally managed to complete this set a couple of months ago by getting the colour version of "rumble at rampage rock"

I got this "Fat and Slat Joke Book" off ebay about 6 years ago for around $50. I'd always considered it a DC so I was suprised to find it was not universally acknowledged as such

This buzzy #70 was part of a small batch I got off ebay about 6/7 years ago for $3 or $4 each - at the time I hadn't read Michelle Nolan's article describing it as rare & I didn't see Ian's posts offering silly money for it until after he'd got a copy - I could well have been tempted to sell at the time!

I have all of these including both versions of Tomorrow The World.

I don't have The Twain Shall Meet, not the two obscure ones that Mike Voiles pictures on his site, but I do have another one not listed in Overstreet.

Mine's in full colour.
They came with a plastic play Superman suit for kids in the 1940s.
The blue only printing seems to be one that they made when they simply couldn't afford full colour ink, probably due to the War.

Ian - can you let us know if "the adventures of finn & friends" that dc sent you have "special advertising section" printed at the top of each page like the bound in versions?

also Just found this page online

http://www.sumerak.com/titans001.shtml

showing that this teen titans insert appeared in 9 Archie comics as well as DC's

I've got this.
It's bigger than a comic but yes it is a comic book.

This thread was getting really interesting.

Post up some more rare promos please, just in case we've all missed something.
