Hey guys, I am looking at buying this boo and would welcome your feedback on the rading, the restoration and what it might be worth.

I am kinda on the fence as I don't normally (knowingly) go for restored books.

The seller seems like a really decent guy and has good feedback. He describes the book as follows...

FINE / VF.  SEEMS TO HAVE HAD SOME RESTORATION. 1/2 INCH SPLIT ON SPINE HAS BEEN REPAIRED. 1/4 INCH CHIP TOP CENTER OF FRONT COVER REPAIRED. SEND YOUR EMAIL IF YOU WOULD LIKE ADDITIONAL PHOTOS.  INTERIOR COMPLETE.  WEAR CONSISTENT WITH GRADE.  BEAUTIFUL BOOK.  SLIGHT SPINE ROLL.  L IN PENCIL ON COVER.  PAGES  CREAM.  EXCELLENT COLOR

Hope the scans are good enough.....

This pic shows the restoration to a chip out of the top edge.

This pic shows restoration to the lower spine.

Don't know why those last three pics are so small, they are much bigger when I open them and view them on the monitor.

So, it has a piece added on the top edge, and what looks to be at least three tear seals (two on the top and one on the right edge) and color touch on the seals. It would probably be considered "moderate" work. It maye get "slight", but I doubt it. It is a pretty nice book though. I guess it might be an apparent 7.0 or so?

Might be lower than a 7.0. I am noticing wear on the back cover that I didn't see before. 6.0/6.5. Trying to put a value on this is tough since I cannot be certain on either the grade or the degree of resto. Both variables are uncertain. You'd probably be safe paying under $400. Last unrestored 5.0 sale was for $449.

Thanks dude..... I think I will take a rain check on this one and fill in a bunch of high grade Thors in the #200 - #300 range instead.
