| Just received this lot in the mail: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=320299109425 The gem of the lot is the Conen/Dr. Strenge by John Thompson. The copy in this auction is in better condition than the one I had. I also already had a copy of Infamous Funnies. Just seemed like a good deal, even if I had two of the four books already.

Two packages of underground comix arrived today, so it was a good day! Here's my latest acquistions, in order of excellence (saving the best for last) Fuktup Funnies: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300260695225 Tony's grading on this one was a bit off, I probably would have graded it a Fine+ or possibly F/VF, but not VF-. Bizarre Sex #10 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290262473304 This one has an Omaha the Cat Dancer chapter, which is why it was on my want list. Not sure if I will ever attempt to complete a Bizarre Sex run, but I'm pretty well on my way. Dope Comix #3 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280269735449 The big draw on this one for me is the Jay Lynch cover. With this issue, my Dope Comix run is complete. Gordeldier (Armadillo) III http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300260694774 can't believe no one bid me up on this one, it's in great shape, and was a steal at this price. Missoula Scandals http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280269750784 I was thrilled when I saw this one listed, and was pleasantly surprised by the end price. I've wanted these Montana undergrounds since OldMilwaukee showed his in Sir Real's SD con video. I now have two of the three issues, just need Missoula Comix #1.

I've got #1 and #3, but no #2, you would think that would be the easiest one to come by, but I have yet to find a decent condition copy at a good price.

Took a while, but I finally received these. One thing I noticed, in Moonchild #2, the indicia on the inside front cover was lettered by Rory Hayes.

I placed an order with Underground Collectibles, I had kind of forgot about them, until they sent out an e-mail advertisement. I picked up three of the Everyman minis I need, Conception, Tales of Mr. Fly and Riffs, which was done by board member chrislip. The big one I bought was a copy of Conspiracy Capers with a double cover! I paid quite a bit for it, but I still think it was a pretty good deal, and I love double covers. It also helps that I think Fat Freddy undergraded it a little bit. He had it as a Fine, but I think it's closer to VF or VF-. The inside cover is gorgeous, looks "head shop fresh".

Brother J (10/9/2008). . .The inside cover is gorgeous, looks "head shop fresh". it is the inside cover that drives grade on double covers too... so if the inside cover & guts are VFNM, then the book is VFNM!

| That's funny, I just placed an order with him, too, and for an oddball Artie Romero comic that I didn't have. You may have seen it on his site, it was a digest-size book with a laminated cover. Horrendous-looking cover, really, but I'm a completist.

I don't agree 100% with your statement. If you were refering to CGC grading standards and the outside cover is somewhat close to a VF/NM, the inside cover & book is VF/NM, then the final grade will most likely be a 9.0. But if the first cover is significantly less than 9.0, I do believe they will knock the overall grade down lower than a 9.0. On a "raw" book, the final grade will be in the eye of the beholder. Great purchase, Brother J!
