Well, the Dallas Comic Con was this weekend for the first time oddly enough I didn't buy a single book. Not that I didn't want to, I just didn't have the time to look at too many between running tables, checking on a friend that was helping with the tables, checking on artists that I helped bring to the con, and checking with artists on status of my sketch books. Needless to say I did a lot of back and forth running around and I'm pooped but I did manage to get everything scanned in to show everyone.

First up, original art from various artists and books.
This is the first time I've really actively bought original pages basically because I found something cool about the page that I liked even if I hadn't ever heard of the book and the prices seemed reasonable.

Scans to follow:

First up is a Deathstroke page by Steve Erwin with Will Blyberg inks.

I really liked the top right panel as it reminded me of a Tales of the Zombie cover.
This page is actually completely stat on the bottom half because there were two different stories running top and bottom. I have the other page with the original bottom as well.

Gunfire page by Steve Erwin. Not sure who inked this one. Here again, I hadn't ever heard of the title but I really liked the glass domed head character with the exposed brain.

Eric Basaldua donated this page to the charity auction (which I haven't quite figured out why he had it) and for a Marc Silvestri page it was too much of a bargain to not pass up. This page would have gone for 4 times what I paid for it at a Wizard World con. We definitely have a lot of work to do to bring Dallas back into what it use to be back in the old Fantasy Fair days.

Last page I bought which is a Spider-man Team-up page by Bob McLeod and too my pleasant surprise after I got home and noticed on the back, inked by Tom Palmer!

Cool page! I just love the bats all over this and Doc Strange almost has a vampire look to him on this page.

I hadn't posted this before and I actually got this in New York a couple of weeks ago. I figured I'd go ahead and post it in this thread.

Was great to meet Kenneth Smith for the first time, especially since he was one of the Warren staples.

This has to be the creepiest Vampi I've gotten from anyone! Great little piece though that only measure about 4 x 7 in total paper size. In person the light color used for the moon and her eyes, etc. really seems to pop out and almost glow!
