I just tried to reply to the introductions/re-introductions thread in the general discussion section of the new board, and I recieved the following message:

The board administrator has requested that you must provide some message content within your post. You cannot post only HTML, Images, EmotIcons or IFCode.

I am not sure what this means.  I provided message content, and didnt try to post pics, emoticons or anything like that.

Please help

Thanks,

Kevin

I noticed the same problem if I try to cut and paste from a previous response. It seems that the forum software sees that as code and wants you to add additional text. Doesn't even seem to help if you edit what you pasted. You also can't  end your post with code either.

I noticed this same "cut and paste" problem also...now my fingers are tired.

It means that you have to have some original content in your reply, not just a quote or an image inserted. You have to type something outside of the IF code parameters to make it work.

It seems that you can't end with any kind of code. If you try to end the message with an image, you get this error.  Emoticons seem to be okay though.

Yeah, I noticed this too...I could post the URL fine without anything but then went to edit it to make sure the URL was clickable and I got the same error.

I tried just adding a smiley but it still caused an error so I wrote in some text afterwards and it was fine. I think this feature must of been made so it stops bots spamming sites.

Adding a URL just gave me a really hard time also. I ended up haveing to hand type it before I could finish my post.
