It seems to increase every time you click on the 'Home' link.

hmm... not for me...and i know I have visited far more than 11 times...I'm not sure how it keeps count...maybe mine stays low because I'm using Firefox so I don't have to log in and out...D

I've been trying to use FF on here but it won't keep me logged in...Has it logged you out for no reason at all?

I'm currently using Opera to use the boards and I don't find clicking 'home' to increase my number at all.

I wd vote for adding the old and new-we are not a new community-just a more modern set up on an old community.

I wd suggest also we come up with a better name than Newbie.

nope it's quite the opposite...I haven't had to log in since I first joined the new boards....FF has kept me logged in ever since...D

^ Thanks for your response.

Well I plan to do a rebuild of my machine..Hopefully this weekend...Not just because of this problem with CPG..lol...But it's slowing down in general and other little things are going strange...I'm hoping the fresh PC will be able to stay logged in with FF again.

Not that its that big a deal, but I do understand the diff in figuring out who are the older members and the newer ones, what with everyone changing their names and all...

Earls intro thread was a good Idea, but if it is that big a deal to you, you can always just add the old post count in you sig...

like "Post count BC(before change)

or not...

Bryan, regarding the post count issue messing with other statistics, I posted this in the UG forum on the old board. Shadow thought I should PM you with it, but here it is:

It's just a programming issue, though, isn't it? Wouldn't the simplest workaround be to program in a "legacy" number or "start value" that would not be counted in the other stat calculations? You know, "start value cell A" + "post count cell B" = "display value cell C" but only cell B is identified for other stats?

Obviously, I am not a programmer, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night.

I saw that Aaron and King have their legacy count, is everyone going to get that?

"They are blind to history's clear lesson, for history teaches with unmistakable emphasis that appeasement but begets new and bloodier war. It points to no single instance where this end has justified that means, where appeasement has led to more than a sham peace. Like blackmail, it lays the basis for new and successively greater demands until, as in blackmail, violence becomes the only other alternative."

"Why," my soldiers asked of me, "surrender military advantages to an enemy in the field?" I could not answer.
