Hey guys,

I just got back from this guys house I met from Craigslist. He had tons of comics for sale and so I went through his Spidey's and his Hulks and picked up 5 ASM's I needed under number 100......and I got 55ish issues of the HULK that I needed. Also got about 10-15 Punisher comics that I wanted. Everything for 80 bucks. Super nice guy. I'll be sure to go back for more later.

I've been around on here.....just haven't had time to scan and post any recent buys.

Happy hunting everyone!!!

Hey CP!!!

How are you?

Craigslist rocks don't it? At least sometimes it does.

Sounds like a great find!! Can't wait for the scans!!!!!!

Yeah, I'll be going to the show this weekend.  I don't expect to find much, but I enjoy walking around and looking for hidden treasures.

How did you guys do at the show?  I got 10 ASM issues I was after....out of 17 that I was really looking for.  I also got 38 issues of the Hulk...just filling in some voids.  Didn't spend much money....that was nice.  I saw a lot more Golden Age stuff than usual, but nothing I couldn't live without.  I was kinda in a hurry though and was only there for about 2 hours.

I forgot about a sweet find I got at the Portland Show on Sunday.   I found this in a 50 cent box (along with a bunch of other great scores for only 50 cents each.).   I'm pretty sure the sig is authentic, and the book is pretty much perfect.  I only ever had the gold 2nd print...and the regular edition that wasn't silver like this one.  Did all of these silver ones come bagged originally because I remember seeing bagged ones...but I don't remember all the details.  But I'd rather have signed than bagged.  I doubt this book is worth much, but it's gotta be a steal at what I paid.  It was all crap from the same era, but I did pick up Punisher War Journal 1-10 in like 9.6 or higher.  I was a little bummed last night when I was rebagging my ASM pick ups to add to my collection.....3 of them were signed by Randy Emberlin (sp?)......not that I have anything against the guy....but I didn't want signed comics in my ASM collection.  And these were signed in black sharpie right on the cover......so now I gotta replace them.  But I'm only out 1.50.   Anyone wanna trade unsigned for signed??    I think he lives in the Portland area as he was always at the shows in recent years.   I can't believe I didn't notice them at the time I was buying them.   At shows I am usually in a hurry...and especially on moderns that aren't worth much....I just visually scan the corners and the spine and go with or without it from there.  Those sigs slipped by.  I think the issue numbers are 374, 375, and 378.

I've been super busy and haven't posted any recent purchases.......I'll bet the last 20+ Golden Age goodies have slipped by and been filed into my collection without being scanned to share on here.......oooooops, but here is the last 2 weeks worth.....well...most of the last 2 weeks worth

This one is beautiful for what it is.  These early Caspers are TOUGH in any grade.

Another book from 1936 added to my collection.  I am excited to get this one.  Hasn't arrived yet, but from what I can tell, it's a beauty as well!!  King Comics number 5!!!

From 1937 I think......looks pretty nice.  King Comics number 19.

I don't like the crookedness of the cover, but it's cut square and I'm 99% sure it was cut like this originally.  Was this common??

Beautiful copy that I think I stole for 25 shipped.  Got it.....looks GREAT inside and out.

Some of the silver were bagged(about 125000, if I remember right) and some weren't.  The bagged ones had no price on the cover, unbagged did.  So this was an unbagged one.  The sig looks right to me too.  Nice pick up.

Nice GA pickups Colorpit.  I'm actually thinking about getting into some Golden Age stuff with Strange Tales Pre-Hero stuff myself.  Only about the first 40 are GA, but it will be my first venture into any GA books at all.
