I am altering my first post so it shows my personal top 10 comics list.  Of course I won't say what's on the list until I aquire a copy of each book.  My reasoning is because the one thing that separates me from these books is lack of supply.......  NONE are currently available on ebay right now.....nor have they been in the past several months at least.  None are out of reach like AC#1.    I plan to aquire all 10 of these....and I'll fill in the blanks as I do.  First one should be in the mail on it's way to me now

3. _____________

4. King Comics #1

5. _____________

Hope this helps you out?

Looks like a nice copy and the price for how long you have been looking is pretty good.

Runs not fully confirmed. Black text=confirmed Peanuts appearance. White text=no Peanuts. Gray text=not yet checked.

I guess I'll make this thread my comic grabs thread..but I can't change the name...but that's ok.

I recently got this Popeye FOUR COLOR #26 on ebay.  I paid a little more than I had hoped it would sell for, but I have been watching for this issue for a few years now.  A tough one to locate.  And, the scan sucks.  It actually looks much brighter and nicer in person.  I was worried until I received it in the mail....but now I am very happy with it.  After shipping, cost me 95.50

Thanks for the info Jesse James.  I have a similar list that I found on this VERY informative site:

http://www.comicartville.com/peanutscomics.htm

I also found this AWESOME and very helpful reference guide that shows large pictures of every FOUR COLOR comic.....plus links to tons of other titles.

colorpit,

I am truly happy for you, and I hope that you receive nothing but pleasure form your purchases for years to come. I recently made an unbelievable purchase myself, so I dare say that I know how you feel. Those books are really clean. Congratulations!

I am not sure how to answer your CGC question though. I would think that the CGC would have methods to deal with these types of situations. From what I hear they are the best of the best at grading; however, a more experienced collector than I would be better equipped to field your question.

Congrats again!!!

Well, I would love to find one in better shape, but being I didn't have this issue, I couldn't pass this one up for only 40 bucks.

Got this in the mail today.  Cost me 49.00 plus 10 shipping.  Not a great price, but not a bad price either...as this issue is tough to find better than very good.   Dell Four Color 457 (1st Daffy comic)
