its most likely going to be a "dell" issue from the 60's so far but but might even be early then that.

  Would Ashcans count (I do not know much about variants)? How about the Ashcan Flash Comics #1 (Fawcett Comics) from 1940?

did it have a full page on the original print?

Variants have a the same issue inside just the cover is diffrent so it good be by art,price,shape of the cover,diffrent kind of foil, 3d and so forth

Hey Jesse,

  How are you?  I have some information on that Ashcan. Flash Comics #1 was made by Fawcett, but they found out that All-American publishers had already copywritten the name, so they published it as Thrill Comics #1. Here are the covers:

NICE WORK TEX!!!

 this is the original copy there are only 8 of these known

 this is the second copy and only 3 known.

Hence the cover titles.  Very good investigating there.
