Non-price variants, I think it's the ASM annual where Peter married MJ. But that never happened now.

(Justice League 3(?) may have pre-dated that one).

Good luck on this one.  There are a lot of price variants and other country variants out there in the golden ages.

But don't know what you would consider a true first variant

the whole cover?

europe or spanish edition?

and so forth.....

give me a more detail

I'm guessing the first variant cover usa edition...is what your asking?

Jesse James

not that I will be able to answer anyways because tehre is probably now way top prove that it is anyhow.

Justice League 3 from 1987 is  certainly one that comes to mind. Most people still do not know that the book exists. That was clearly an intentional cover variant with different art on the cover and  a new DC logo.

However, that was '87 and certainly there were other intentional variants prior?

(Mark is ignoring price variants here and whitmans). Trying to recall different art on the cover)
