I assume you're talking about Crossed, Watcher? We have talked about a few other books in the thread.

Church of Hell was pretty cool. More of a set-up than anything, but it looks like it could be a real good story. thanks for the heads-up on that one.

  Hello Watcher. Welcome. ZombiesAteMyBrain and I really enjoy Crossed. It's cool series that always leaves you wanting more (which will take you at leat two months to get ). It's just on issue #4, so you can get in easily...we still do not know much about the Crossed; the story goes slowly, creepily, gorily, and I must warn you, it is ultra-violent.

  Oh man,

     My online distributer hasn't emailed me my invoice yet...I don't know when I'll get Crossed #4. I was hoping to find out from whence came all those bodies that fell from the sky. Did we get more history on the Crossed or was it a just a build up for a story that follows?

     I'm glad that you like Church of Hell! It seems like it is really going somewhere. I felt sorry for the poor guy in first issue (mostly because we see how he'll end up). Most of the stuff that befell him wasn't even his fault...he just got caught up in a bizarre sequence of events, unless you believe in karma that is. Even so, if it was karma it was mad overkill!! Yikes!! Did you like the art?

I can't say I was blown away by the art in Church of Hell, but it was above average,I guess?

It fit the story well though, that's always a plus in my book.

And I agree that you do feel kind of bad for the lead character. He was no saint, but it does look like he ends up getting worse than what he deserved,lol.

  I just finished Crossed #4. You were right, it had a lot of back story, kinda like a backstory summary. But the Crossed...some of those jokers are getting hella intelligent, and real leaders are beginning to emerge in their groups. Most frightening is the fact that their cruelty is beginning to show less evidence of pure instinct and more signs of organization. Deliberate cruelty. How human.

  I have an issue though. The cop takes spit in his eye, and begins to lose it almost instantaneously, but his blood splatters a couple of the group and...nothing? WTF? I wonder if the cop's existing state of emotional disequilibrium hastened his transformation.

  Did you see how that girl chose to drop from the bridge rather than be turned? That part really impacted me. Ennis is doing a good job of creating atmoshpere in this issue. Reading through this comic makes me feel trapped inside their world with them. This is one of the best comics out right now. I wish that I could get this book more regularly though.

  This would be an awesome movie. This is one modern series that I'm not selling to buy golden, silver, or bronze age back-issues.

You're right about the part with the girl dropping from the bridge. I'd probably do the same thing in that situation. Yikes!

Just got a chance to watch the Dead Space movie. That was great! You don't see a lot of good gruesome animation like that very often. Very cool!

I think i'm going to have to wait for the trade...my lcs closed up before it started..and now i'm cancelling my pull due to monitary reasons...Sucks..but I have a friend at work that is reading this and he says the book is giving him nightmares...now you know this damned thing must be good..cuz he can't put it down!

either that or he's masochistic...lol!

Any of you guys read DH's Soloman Kane? have to admit, was a pretty good read....not as gory as this is supposed to be, but had its points...

 Dam#. That is saying alot. Man, I'd like to tink that I'd go down fighting...but the despair that can overtake someone when they know that they cannot win, and that they will die a faster, painless death at their own hands than in the hands of some vicious, sadistic SOBs....

 I can see myself doing that too. Did you see her face before she let go?

 YEP!! I'm glad that you liked it. It didn't end the way that I thought, but we might get a sequel!!
