| I just read Crossed #0 by Garth Ennis, It was like a car wreck. I couldn't look at it, but I couldn't look away. I do not even like horror comics, but after my friend let me read his, I went straight to the comic shop to buy it, but they did not have it. I went to good 'ol ebay and bought the Red variant. This story has me intrigued. I just wanted to know what all of you gents thought of it. Tex

| I thought it was OK. To me, it read a lot like Black Gas, or any of a ton of zombie books. I'm trusting that Ennis will throw some kind of twist in oncce the series actually starts though, so I'll be picking it up.

| ZombiesAteMyBrain, What did you like about it? Maybe for me it was the fact that I do not have much experience with the horror genre when it comes to comics; it is possible that I am just looking at this book through inexperienced eyes. The violence was shocking, the atmosphere changed abruptly; it went from Everytown, U.S.A. on a peaceful night to bloody, sickening madness in just a few panels. Did you see what the diner boss (the one who lost his nose) did to the guy whom he stabbed?! Sick! You are going to have school me on this horror thing. If this was okay to you, what is really mind-blowing? I want to read your recommendations. Tex

Tex Well, if you liked the tone of this one, I would definetely say pick up Black Gas(also by Avatar, by Warren Ellis). You can probably get it cheap on EBay. If you like Ashley Wood art(I do, but I can see how some would hate it)Zombies vs Robots and Zombies vs Robots vs Amazons were good reads. The recent XXXombies was more humorous, but with some good, sick violence in it. For the really mind-blowing though, the best I've read lately has been some manga books by Junjai Ito. Gyo is creepy as hell, as is Uzumaki. And his Musuem of Terror volumes are brilliant.

| Thanks ZombiesAteMYBrain, I'll try to find these titles ASAP. I have already started with Dead She Said. I picked it up because the name reminded me of something...maybe a song lyric..I'm not sure. Anyway I have #1 and #2. It is creepy but it is kind of like one of those old mystery movies. Do you remember that old movie from the 1950's (I think) called D.O.A.? It reminds me of that...a guy has to find his own killer and ends up solving a major mystery in the process. I'm a sucker for that stuff. Thanks again, if you think of anything else, let me know please. Tex

| ZombiesAteMYBrain, I just finished reading Black Gas vol#1 and 2. It was twisted. I think you have screwed me up for life . No, I really liked it. The people were not really zombies, but just folks who had lost control of themselves (like Crossed; just like you said). I wonder how far Ennis is willing to go to top Black Gas though. He'll have to think up the most horrifying, and sickest acts to match it. Here's to hoping.... Thanks again for the suggestions. Take care. Tex
