| Well, this is it, the last week of my shops existance..My LCS, Comics Legends and Heroes, Goodyear, is closing it's doors this week..Saturday is the last day..Two years ago I was so stoked that I had found an LCS so close to my new home, and now..because of this damn economy, and all this bs going on with the War, and the damn oil prices, gas and everthing else..PLUS the freaking landlord rasing the rent on them..TWICE! They are forced to close their doors.. I'm depressed... closest shop to me is about 30 mins away...and the way these people drive around here..that could be suicide.. damn I'm bummed..

I felt that way once back when I used the LCS, it was a great shop run by a great owner. Never cared about any of the other ones after that.

My LCS here Purple Cactus closed down about 4 months ago, I walked in and they were tearing the place apart, I was totally shocked. Turns out that the landlord wanted to raise the rent $5000 more a month so they had no choice. Damn shame. I just blame it on Global Warming.

That is a shame Wolf Is the other comicshop that's 30 minutes away any good? Don't know..I've only been to my shop since I've been out here..They've treated me like family since. He is going to try and do internet only for his core customers..if possible..so we'll see..if not, then I have to go looking. It happens..Damn economy.

| There's a real nice little shop on Glendale and 57th Ave. I don't know EXACTLY where you live, but it's the closest one to you that I've actually been to. Great owner and decent selection. The only reason I didn't make it my normal shop when I moved where I am(it's about 5 minutes from my house) is that I wanted to stay loyal to the store I was already at,which is on my way home from work anyways. Hopefully you can find something closer, but you might want to check it out if you can't find anything else. I don't remember the name off-hand, but I can find it if you're interested.

Sad to hear it man. So far my city (Vancouver) hasn't had any closures in quite some time. I guess there must have at least been some sweet closing out sale deals? Sad to profit from someone's misfortune but still there must have been deals.
