I'd like to hear what everyone has for a favorite series! It can be ongoing or mini. It could be something that you go back to and read and maybe forgot how great it was. The book could also be something that you look back on fondly.
Ill post after I hear a few.

| I could easily list a top ten or top twenty, but I'll at keep it to two, because I really can't decide between them. Watchmen-Probably the better of the two and Preacher-The more fun to read of the two.

Hmm, tough one. From my childhood it would have to be the Archie digest comics. My mom would always buy me one every time we went to the grocery store. Now, i really can't say. Too much good stuff out there.

| Hello, My favorite series of all time is Captain America (1968). Especially from about 315-350. Those stories about the Flag Smasher, Power Broker, and the U.S. Government coming down on Steve Rogers really resonated with me. No matter the odds Cap did the right thing. He never blamed his country for his problems, even when they stripped him of his colors in #332. He kept his dignity, and believed in himself, in justice, and in the people of America. I lived in S.E. Washington, D.C.; guns and violence were everywhere. My school had a metal detector, and in my freshmen year of high school a guy put a gun to my head because I did not want to stand on the corner and sell drugs for him. Where I lived, trying to do the right thing usually made you an outcast, or dead. Just about everyone I knew bashed our country, hated and feared the police, and wanted nothing to do with the armed forces. Not me. I know this sounds hokey, but a good deal of the things that I learned about being a man I learned from MGySgt Washington, a salty vietnam vet (5 tours in the suck) who taught JROTC at my high school, and Captain America. More than 20 years later I am a war vet myself living a better life than I ever could have imagined with my wife and two kids. Guess what? My son loves Captain America too. Go figure. Tex

You read my mind.
Watchmen
Preacher
Sandman

Someone: "So I hear you collect Spider-Man comics."
Me: "Yep."
Someone: "Well I happen to have Amazing Spider-Man #92"
Me: "I have #1"
Someone: ".......oh."
It's those little victories that make life worth living.
