| So I had to bag and Board 500 comics yesterday. So of course I bought 500 golden age bags and 500 boards. At the end though I was 15 bags short and 10 boards extra. This seems to happen every single time. Has this happen to anybody else or is it just my luck of the draw? So i watched the following movies will bagging; crimson tide lord of the rings fellowship lord of the rings towers predator. I seem to watch the same ones everytime I can hear what's going on while bagging. Do you have a ritual you go through as well? Jesse James

That's funny. Its always the opposite for me. I always have left over bags when I've run through all of the boards.

Every Single time I have extra boards...but I started counting. I'm not getting shorted bags, I'm getting free boards...when I get 100 free boards...I buy a bag o' bags and thank the non-standard nature of the boards...
I think this is where the overs come from...notice how some boards are thick and stiff and some are loose and flimsy...the machine is sorting by weight. So that difference in the weight of the boards will cause the sorter to bag up + or - to reach the weight.
It is a racket thought...It's all scrap...that's why the weight is variable...they sell us whatever they can get.

I don't really call it a ritual but I'll often bag and board while on the telephone or watching a tv show. It's just because the process is boring I want to keep myself atleast entertained.
But on being short on either bags or boards....Yeah, I usually end up with more boards than bags. Was talking to one of the workers at LCS about it a few months ago.

I either read them and then bag and board or bag and board while watching tv, that is if i've already read them.

No ritual and yes I am always short of bags or boards, usually bags. I have an order of 1,100 bags and boards coming in the next several days, it will be interesting to see if they match up in quantity.
