Thank you guys for your words of wisdom; here's my update.
Argus, you were 100% on point:
1. Key issues were definitely missing(after talking to him, I found out he CGC'd most of his books, he had CGC books laying all around his room).
2. The books were in order; that was a good sign
I still think I did pretty well. The price was re-negotiated to 100.00. I decided to do the deal(and trek a long box and a stuffed bookbag on the train by myself back home) because of the condition of the books. They were in incredible condition! I will do a detailed find list later today, but offhand they were mostly ASMs, Transformers and UXMs starting w/#145. Also got the first 20 issues of the Original Ghost Rider series(20 cent covers) in relatively high grade. My arms are sore, but I am happy
He really should have said late 80's early/mid 90's, but it's ok. Thanks for the advice!
