I had a customer complain that I overgraded these and that they were not as described, and wants to return them. These are the exact pictures he saw, along with my notes on damage. I'm accepting his return, but I wanted feedback from others.
Giant Size Defenders #1, noted "This copy has a very small tear near the "1" on the cover, mild wear"

Giant Size Defenders #2, noted "This copy has a very small 1/2" tear at the bottom of the spine, mild wear and a few small creases, lower staple has poked through the cover."
(why am I limited to 2 MB of attachments? Had to go upload these elsewhere)

I personally need larger pics.
And yes, PhotoBucket lets you have a free account with I THINK around 600 MB of uploading storage.
1) Put a pic up on PhotoBucket.
2) Click on that pic to go to its page.
3) If you use FireFox as your browser it is simple: Right-click on the pic itself and select "Copy image location". Use that as your img IFcode shortcut.
My person picture size preferences:
For saying "Hey, look at what I bought.", 800x600 is about right.
For grading though, I need to look at 1024x768 or 1152x864.
It is hard to see things like spine stress and staples on smaller pics.

Oh please, you couldn't even turn into Bill Bixby.

I'm not one of the pros on the board, but I'm trying to develop my eye... I think I'll give my opinion and see how it compares with the more experienced, um... grading-dudes.
I'd say 5.0 for each of them. The Green Lantern has a nice spine (in the 6.0 or 6.5 range, if not better), but those creases at the u.r. corner detract from the eye appeal. The Brave & Bold seems to have some creasing parallel to the spine which usually restricts a book to VG+ or less, but in this case it doesn't seem to be very heavy, so the grade can go a tad higher.
Anyone else want to offer a better-informed opinion?

Elijya (10/16/2009) Giant Size Defenders #2, noted "This copy has a very small 1/2" tear at the bottom of the spine, mild wear and a few small creases, lower staple has poked through the cover." (why am I limited to 2 MB of attachments? Had to go upload these elsewhere)Defender GS #2 - 4.0 grade: the additional "worm hole" near the spine is also a strong factor.

Giant Size Defenders #1, noted "This copy has a very small tear near the "1" on the cover, mild wear"Defenders GS #1- 5.5 grade at best Not aware of the price you got for these comics but...As a buyer I would spend a total of $5.00 (including ship cost) for your GS Defenders #1. The Defenders GS #2 in 4.0 shape - only $2.00 If you supplied these pics in your description and the buyer wasn't blind then the price shouldn't have exceeded a total of $3-$6 each. I think your customer is acting on "buyers remorse." Next time lump these together in a single lot. Dan
