hehe

I never said I did not like it, nor that I am no longer interested in the story - I just felt that $4 was TOO much for what was offered.  Again - not much happened...and the scary thing is more and more books are flirting with $3.50 and $4.00 - so I can see some price changes coming in the near future across the board.

Now - with Moon Knight - I think what I proposed is totally fair.  For those that like the new direction - so be it.  But, I am a LONNNGGG time follower of the guy in white and I have to say, this is the worst writing I have read for that character, and the Marc Spector series (from the 90's) was not very good, so that is saying alot in my mind.

he is the best and yes last few issues have been iffy.. but he is running into his main problem he has always had.

1. really hard to write for a character who is bat**** crazy

2. he has no rogues gallery.

This is definitely where you and I will disagree - the whole 'bat****' crazy thing you are referring to is directly tied and totally unique to the currenty crappy run set up by the no-talent writer (Huston).

Steven Grant, AKA Marc Spector, AKA Moon Knight, AKA Cab Driver Jake Lockley - was presented by the original writer (Doug Moench)  as personas (much like Batman) to take on in the course of his work as Moon Knight.  Jake Lockley to gather information on the streets, Steven Grant the millionaire, and Marc Spector, the former mercenary.  The closest he ever was presented as 'CRAZY' was if Marlene addressed him by the wrong name of the character he was portraying and he snapped at her - he was in character.

To each his own - that is my interpretation - I have been reading Moon Knight from the beginning...I really detest was has been done to the character in the current series.

**This is what I posted in the Captain America thread**

"Actually, the Steve Rogers who was killed was really a Skrull all along.  The Steve Rogers that was found by the Avengers back in the 60s was a Skrull plant and the real Steve Rogers was placed in suspended animation after WWII ended to be awakened for the next big crisis!!! "

--------------------------------------------

“I don’t do this for the Commander in Chief.  I do this for my country, and I will continue to do so.”

"They are blind to history's clear lesson, for history teaches with unmistakable emphasis that appeasement but begets new and bloodier war. It points to no single instance where this end has justified that means, where appeasement has led to more than a sham peace. Like blackmail, it lays the basis for new and successively greater demands until, as in blackmail, violence becomes the only other alternative."

"Why," my soldiers asked of me, "surrender military advantages to an enemy in the field?" I could not answer.

- Gen Douglas MacArthur
