God I wish this wasn't only an 8 issue run. This has got to be hands down the best Grendel story I've read since the 80s. I'll admit the whole demon chasing him thing and the rasta voodoo guy could be seen as a bit contrived but the tone and the feel along with the many layers of characters are making this for me. The reporter and the cop feel like very real characters that I can empathize with. How many boardies are reading this one?

A bit behind on my reading (have not read 4 or 5 yet)...but of course, I am on board and really enjoying the ride thus far.

seriously though, what kind of readership would it take to give Grendel a monthly series. Wagner is one of the best writers in comics of the past 25 years. I'd buy it and read it every time.
