Im still not a Manhunter fan, and he still doesn't do anything for me interest wise..but, even i have to admit..this book made you care a little bit about him..

Plus the history put into the book..
..and all around presentation. Just a really good read.

So folks are generally digging this huh? It seemed pretty schmaltzy to me.

Schmaltzy....maybe......but at least the poor bastard went out with a little more dignity .....

But here is my question,

Why did it take 2 months to explain te hows and whys of Manhunter's death? Why wasnt this done prior to FC?

Why is this mini so F'N disjointed?

It takes you 2 months to get explain a plot thread? That's piss poor story telling IMO. Im on until the end the but FC better end with the biggest bang there is, or I will declare this one under EPIC FAIL!

you answered your own question............"piss poor story telling"....but its only piss poor because of the vauge storytelling in the main book.
While the issue was good...it should have come out along side FC #1...or the week directly after....
that way it would fit...and not have been an "oh...they killed M. Manhunter." *shrug* ....if this had come out along side...or right after....it would have been more of a "HOLY SHITE....THEY WASTED M. MANHUNTER!...I GOTTA READ FC!"

It really is pretty shocking what a crap-a$$ job they're doing (Didio & DC in general) with this whole sooper dooper mongo major event thing. I'd be embarrassed to be involved in its creation.

I dont think it would of been that earth shattering, but i see where you are coming from. FC has been a bust thus far. He is already giving excuses as to the poor reception of it.

So this leads me to believe that had it been a smashing creative sucess, it wouldnt of warranted that much "damage control"

I can't wait to see the DC sales numbers, to see how far FC issue two fell short of issue one. I hope the numbers are just atrocious, and the DC editorial board finally gets the message that they're butchering the DCU.
