This has been happening to me also lately. ... last 3-4 days I have to login 2X per visit.

Using the 'Delete Forum Cookies' function is pretty helpful when it starts to act up though

Is that a forum settting that I'm not seeing or do you mean deleting the actually cookie itself?

It's an actual link down the bottom of the forum. Just check out the screen shot I provided.

On a side note I found actually deleting the cookie through your internet browser didn't work very well....But using the 'Delete Forum Cookies' option works very well.

Any issues I have with the site I attribute to the age of my computer and lack of adequate memory...

I really doubt it has anything to do with 'lack of memory' when this is the only site (for me personally) that has this problem. And for the fact others have the same problems tells me it must be something to do with the site in general otherwise no-one would be getting this problem. Not saying it's an easy to locate problem and most likely not really worth looking into because it happens to so few people but lack of computer memory would be causing other problems for your pc in general.

You mis-read what I said...

What I said was that I'm not having the logout problem with either IE or Firefox...the only issue I encounter is a page load speed problem...which I attribute to the age of my computer and the amount of resident memory needed for today's programs...doesn't leave a lot for swap...

From what set and others have described it sounds more like a conflict between the forum's cookies programming and some individual computers...possibly your virus software or the parameters you may have set for cookies...

If using the "delete forum cookies" and clearing your browser of any corrupted cookies doesn't help, I don't know what to tell you. Not having your individual system in front of me or not having more people experience the problem makes it real hard to pin down.

Which brings up the PM someone sent me...you apparently were logged out when sent, so it arrived to me as "Anonymous"...making it impossible to reply...

All I can say is check your cookies...see if you can pinpoint any changes to your system before the problem...and lets gather all the info we can to see if we can catch this gremlin...
