Just got a really good lead from my flier!

I just got off of the phone with a guy that saw my flier around town. Guy says that he has about 200 books from the 60s. Books include runs of titles such as: Justice League of America, Batman, Superman, Jimmy Olsen, Detective Comics, andAdventure Comics. He said that he would buy them brand new off of the newsstand, read them once, and then store them away. He would give them put them at about mid-grade.

My business partner and I are going to check them out this weekend and see what kind of offer we can do for him. Funny thing is, this guy lives about two blocks behind my house in town.

I will keep you guys posted. Hopefully the next time I post I'll be posting some pictures of some really nice books.

Well..........we went and checked this out.
I'm proud to say that we came to a agreement and I made a purchase of around 200 SA books.

I didn't have time to take any pictures of the collection. We were in too big of a hurry to get them bagged/boarded, graded, and priced.

This purchase couldn't have came at a better time. We are doing a comic book convention this weekend (August 2nd) and this will make some very affordable SA stock that everyone will be able to afford.

I will probably take some pictures of what we got while we have it set up at the show. I'll then get it posted up on here for all to see.

Hopefully everything will go according to plan, and this will be something I will be doing for sometime to come.

Nice NICE NICE!!!!

Very NICE when they are already Bagged and boarded for you.

Are you going to log all this?

I'm still looking to find that person who just has grandpas old comics he found in the attic in a chest and just wants to get rid of them.

There are still finds like that out there.  hope you find one.

There is someone in WA that is trying to unload about 9000 comics if your interested all send you his CPG name.

Happy Hunting

I'm going to make every effort I can this week to take some pictures. If I'm not able to get it done then, I know that I'll have time while we're setting up for this weekend's show to snap off a few pics.

alright awesome that's how it starts i remember my first deal like that i just enoughof the stuff to get back most of my investment and kept on doing it ...fyi...i've learned just keep what you can..try to move the rest...because if you do it for about 10yrs -off and on- you might end up like me...at one point had over 2.5 mil comics paying $5k a month for the rental space of course by then i quit my killer job to be a dealer (a killer job too!) ended up donating a lot of it to the library, salvation army, slow boat shipped to other states..too much stuff i guess...really can be a bad thing unless there all sa or ga and hot stuff...it ain't money till you sell it! good luck..
