i know i screwed up about comic preservation back in the 80's, there really wasn't that mylite2 or whatever ...at that time i really was concerned about saving my comics i bought these things call mylar light weights man that was i bust, i wrote to dupont and they refered me to these guys, so i got them used a bunch of it on some of my good stuff..recently i took a set of surfers 68's to a friend to let him check it out , after looking at them he told me that some of the lightweights split at the seams! because of that the air had gotten to some of them, the area where it exposed the comic to had begun to fox! i am still sick about it..instead of sending a few bk to cgc for grading i'm only sending 3..as for high ticket stuff or stuff i'm going to die with ..back in 84 or 85 went to a trophy store locally and had each comic encapsulated

in mylar sheets specifically cut to size of the bk about 1/2"extra around after it was sealed

a corner was cut, and they sucked out the air, then they pumped in nitrogen and sealed it.

and that was that..btw these guys charged me $50 for each one. that was the way to go

back then, it's probably changed by now with all the teck..i do know that at the time friends thought i was crazy, but i now i look back at it and i think that was one of the best investments i every made.. regular stuff that i know is worth $$ i usually put a backing

or 2 then pop it in a lightweight..
