Hey everyone!
New to the forum. Pleasure to meet y'all.
This seemed like the best place to go on my quest for a comicbook title so I hope someone here can help me out.
=^.^=

Here's all the details that I can remember and some I'm not 100% certain on.
First off I (think) I remember the size. It's not your typical comicbook but maybe about the size (length x width) of most modern day manga novels or maybe even smaller. It also had more pages than the standard comic.

Characters... I think were a man & a woman... maybe siblings, probably lovers... something to that effect.
The "era" they lived in... probably medieval-ish. I think there was the fantasy/magic theme to it.
The particular issue I remember... starts out (or contains) with a night scene and rooftops (not 100%).
Later on... half way through maybe... I (think) they get separated or have to split up for whatever reason.
Then think one of them... uh.... falls in a hole with lava/fire at the bottom, or maybe a volcano... (also not 100%).

This belonged to my uncle so I'd place the time frame probably late 70s/early-mid 80s.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance for any help. Appreciate it greatly.

First....welcome to the boards.

Second.....I have absolutely NO idea what you are talking about.

Sorry, no help from me unless you can remember anything specific about it.

Man, that sounds like a weird comic. You gotta be more careful about those lava holes. They're pretty terminal!

The best hint is the size of the comic.

In the early 80s, DC comics released a significant number of digest sized books. They had many different names, from DC Comics Blue Blue ribbon Digests, to DC Special series and even a few Adventure Comics runs. If you can remember any more it would be helpful. My guess without knowing might be to check the price guide for the Warlord from DC Special Blue Ribbon Digest 10, or even the Challengers of the Unknown from Adventure Comics 494-497.

haha, that's gotta be one of the best descriptions I've ever read.

--------------------------------------------

“I don’t do this for the Commander in Chief.  I do this for my country, and I will continue to do so.”

"They are blind to history's clear lesson, for history teaches with unmistakable emphasis that appeasement but begets new and bloodier war. It points to no single instance where this end has justified that means, where appeasement has led to more than a sham peace. Like blackmail, it lays the basis for new and successively greater demands until, as in blackmail, violence becomes the only other alternative."

"Why," my soldiers asked of me, "surrender military advantages to an enemy in the field?" I could not answer.

Tell me, did the male character wear shoes?

----------------

Someone: "So I hear you collect Spider-Man comics."
Me: "Yep."
Someone: "Well I happen to have Amazing Spider-Man #92"
Me: "I have #1"
Someone: ".......oh."

It's those little victories that make life worth living.
