Just finished Vertigo's S.C.I. Spy,

It was very good. I read all six issues straight thru. Good read.

Also reading Body Bags too. It's okay s far...there's a girl in there, Panda, who's only 14 but she's drawn like a SUPER busty 20 year old. And treated like it too. Creepy.

I'm up to #70 in 100 Bullets,

It's really good, but really dark and depressing. I've been breaking it up with some Charlton Superhero comics (Captain Atom, Fighting 5, Sarge Steel, etc.). I'm gonna read Crimson Plage from Event Comics later.

Just finished reading Ultimate Galactus Trilogy (Ultimate Nightmare 1-5, Ultimate Secret 1-4, Ultimate Vision 0, and Ultimate Extinction 1-5). I enjoyed it, for the most part.

With Firefox, I get "invalid verb" instead of a 400. It's very lame indeed.

Just finished Miracle Man 1-15 by Alan Moore and 16-24 by Neil Gaiman. A different take on superheros, the quality is part of the reason this series is expensive. Too bad they never did #25.

Ok, this week I read the Lies of Locke Lamora (a novel), the 1st new Batwoman issue of Detective Comics, the last couple of issues of Superman and Action Comics and the New Official Index to the Marvel Universe issue 1. All were very enjoyable.

Today I read X-Men 348-350. I got these in a single win off ebay. I only needed the 350 but all three are low grade so they are for the trash, but I thought I may as well read them first.

I dropped X-Men in about 1996 and reading these reminds me why. The story is essentially a resolution to the Gambit the traitor in the Mutant Massacre story flips flops all over the place and is really hard to follow from page to page and I felt I needed to read the whole thing over again just to understand what was going on. This is the period that Magneto Clone Joseph is with the X-Men. I didn't like any of new characters like Maggot, Grovel and Spat.

It's not helped by that fact that Lobdell ends his 60+ issue run one issue short of the conclusion to this 'major' storyline. Artists Joe Mad and Chris Bachalo (349) are also unusually off form.

I have not idea why 350 sells for so much, apart from a nice cover it does not have much going for it.

Earl.

recently finished the following TPBs:

.Ultimate Spider-Man Volumes 18, 19, 20
.Secret War
.Dark Tower: Gunslinger Born
.Dark Tower: The Long Road Home
.Dark Tower: Treachery

Ultimate Spider-Man was awesome, I wish I would have gotten this when the issues were coming out

Secret War was stupid, imo.

The Dark Tower books were okay, I feel they left a lot of story to be told.

DeadOne got me interested in Fray,

I'm on issue #2. Good so far! Finished 100 Bullets, meh. It was all going so well...building up this big crescendo of sound and fury until...until...the sucky end.

Read the Kingdom Come graphic novel tonight. I am not big on DC, but this book has a ton of good word of mouth so I gave it a go. I am adding it to my must read list to all new comic collectors. A plot with everything, and Alex Ross is the goods on the art.
