Does anybody know the sizes of Marvel and DC books from Silver age to Bronze age to Modern age?

I have a silver-age Cap America 100 that seems trimmed/cut on the right edge; running from the lower corner to the upper...6 7/8 inches to 6 11/16 inches. So I began measuring other Silver age books and found DC's measured 7 inches just a bit wider than Marvel Silver age books. Then I went on to measure bronze issues: DC's = 6 5/8 inches & Marvel's = 6 3/4 to 6 7/8 inches.  And I notice some of my bronze marvels are cut uneven between 3/16 and 1/8 inches off on the right opening side.

Are there parameters that comic sizes fall into? What are they? or Where can they be found?

Thanks!

Dan

A pro trimming job would remove so small an amount of the cover that you would not be able to detect it by measuring width. Since books were produced so cheaply with imperfect methods, it is typical for books to vary in width somewhat. Pro trimming can't be detected by measuring cover width.
