Y'know, interestingly enough issue 2 was somewhat better than 1. The first half was as lame as ever, but there were a few pages toward the end that, dare I say it, almost made sense!! Really, there was a bit with some Green Lanterns and another bit with the Flashes where I came rather close to knowing what was happening.
To some extent, this issue benefited from the old "how could it be worse" factor, but still I was a tiny smidge pleased.

How can you not like a comic with characters like Most Excellent Superbat and MegaYakuza?
Definetly better than issue 1 but still lacking in clarity but overall I enjoyed it.

Speedy-D (6/25/2008) Y'know, interestingly enough issue 2 was somewhat better than 1. It's funny to me that it took Green Lantern though, in my opinion, the best comic DC currently offers to get the ball moving in this title. When i read the first few pages (which is set in the future for anyone that didn't pick up on that) I thought, well that does it, I'm definitely dropping this book... but after finishing it off, and seeing how much GL is going to play a part in the story, I figure I'll stick with it to the end since it's only 7 issues. This will definitely be the most disappointing crisis series, but after suffering through 32 issues of 52 before realizing that it wasn't going anywhere, I figure I can afford to check out 7 issues of Final Crisis.

Well with these stellar reviews it cements my choice to not bother with this. I have a hard enough time knowing what's going on in the DCU. If you guys are only partially getting what's going on I'm sure I'd be just left going WTF.
What's in my long boxes? http://www.comicspriceguide.com/world/default.asp?m=icebreaka
