I have an EC Classics series you don't seem to have listed which are Russ Cochran 1986-1987. (See http://www.bookpalace.com/acatalog/Home_EC_Classics_382.html)

Hmm...I noticed there was a disparity in listed series dates....I'll have to look into it.

Just out of interest were these further reprints of the 1973 East Coat Comix reprints?

Earl,
The link above leads to MAGAZINE sized double issues that Russ Cochran tried for about 10 issues in the early 90's. I believe he still sells them at his website along with a really nifty counter display that the mags fit in. Each issue has a double cover and the contents of the 2 issues featured on the cover, that were in no particular order. I liked that format, but sales probably didn't warrant further issues. They are in no way related to the East Coast reprints of the mid-1970's. I believe all issues in that run are accounted for in Overstreet Price Guide.

Thanks.

I have recently started to collect the East Coat Comix editions and wondered if their was more of a connection.

Earl.

The only connection is that they are both reprints of EC's ....outside of that they have no connection, but I do recall that Cochran must have had a stock of the East Coast editions as he was selling a couple of the issues for awhile in the back of his Gemstone reprints up until a few years ago...possibly still has some, so you might inquire. I like the East Coast run as they had a kind of Underground feel to them and they came out at the height of the first wave of EC nostalgia...around 1972 when the original Tales From The Crypt film was released and that EC Fan-Addict Convention was held in NY when all the living members of EC showed up (except Ingles) and held panels and such. Sadly I was too young to attend, but I did manage to get the convention kit and program from the back of The Monster Times magazine/tabloid and was able to read transcripts of most of the panels in various fanzines where they were printed afterwards.
