wpbooks (6/20/2008)
50centII (6/19/2008) Reseda, as in the city in the Valley that was almost 108 degrees yesterday (and probably today)?
That's the one....Too much Soul Coughing, perhaps!
we are all
in some way or another
going to Reseda
someday
to die

Yeah...that's the line...it happened to be on my stereo as I was looking at this thread originally...no other reason for my inclusion of it other than weird timing....the bit about Reseda for some reason made me think of S. Clay Wilson...I can't explain why but it just all came together in that moment...I think I'll go to Reseda later this week...it keeps calling me, but hopefully not to die...Is Glendale near there?

| Oh, from the Soul Coughing song, not the Tom Petty song. Glendale is only about 20minutes or so east on the freeway from Reseda.

I was wondering what the reference to Tom Petty was all about....not familiar with his take on Reseda...I really love the names of places in the Los Angeles area...Van Nuys, City Of Industry, Silverlake, etc. They all sound mythically funny to me, for no good reason.....

So , somewhere outside Reseda where Tom Petty Sings about is my answer, but it could be Van Nuys? But..What about My Corbens and the Clay Set?..guesses to start perhaps? I am not a Premium member so cannot get a full list, to show you. I thank you for your expertise . Also have first issue Mr. Natural and a few others that are of interest to a collector i am sure. I am really new and seeking advice here gentle people..Please.

While the books you have are interesting, they aren't that uncommon. There are points you need to look for on the comics to determine whether or not they are 1st printings or later. Sorry to be the bearer of not great news but without scans and some research saying you have item A or Item B tells us Underground Thread folks very little and gives us not much to go on to offer an opinion...so we digress a bit....undergrounds are much harder to figure out than mainstream comics which usually have one printing and then onto the next...hence the term periodical...Undergrounds are more like books...some are popular and get many printings and variations bestowed upon them...others get one life to live and then are banished to obscurity only to be occasionally unearthed by the obsessive UG collector. Your stuff, as mentioned before, is nice but common.....scan 'em and see if anyone here salutes by perhaps needing an upgrade. check out the Wiki at headcomix.info for some clues to your holdings, maybe. Best advice I can give at this time....and should you find yourself in Southern California then give Reseda a chance...there may be more to it that being a place where we will all go to die!

| Thank you for your help. The reference to the Head comix index helped alot. By going there I have been able to see some of my stuff is 1st issue, and some is second. this is a very valuable guide, and I appreciate the direction. Once I have a list completed, I will start working on Scans. Thanks again and look forward to Reseda
