| Wow! Some insight into the happenings over at DC! I sure wouldn't want to get into a war of words with Dixon!

Dixon just sounds bitter.
And yes, that sucks..cause he's liked. But, I myself..never much cared for anything he did..

| More nails in my DC coffin...I am down to 4 regular universe DC titles - I have decided to collect based on writer now instead of just buying crappy runs of a book because I have a long run. Because of this news, I am done with Batman and the Outsiders as well as Robin now. I am down to: Detective (Dini), Justice Society (Johns), Manhunter (Andreyko) (and Jonah Hex - Palmiotti - not a super hero book). I am still buying some Vertigo books though Fables, House of Mystery (Willingham), Madam Xanadu (Wagner), and Northlanders (Wood) - I am buying Jack of Fables in trades and just recently dropped DMZ (the story is not going anywhere). I am almost, for the first time in over 15 years, collecting more Marvel than DC...

| What my comic book guy thinks... Something has been going on with DC editorial for quite some time - sales for DC books are down and he believes that Chuck Dixon may have faced off with Didio regarding how RIP was going to affect his books (Batman and the Outsiders & Robin). Dixon did not like what Morrison had planned, Didio said tough, and the verbal exchange most likely escalated with Didio 'firing' Dixon.

| I just don't get what went wrong at DC. Just a few years ago we had the strong starts to the then relaunched Teen Titans and The Outsiders. The Lee and Joeb Hush run on Batman. Identity Crisis and then into Infinite Crisis. DC seemed so on top of things. Superman/Batman started strong but every issue left more unresolved plot threads. Lee on Superman fizzled. Birthright left us confused, it was the official origin, now it's not in continuity, or is it? JLA Classified and JSA Classified launched but seemed disconnected from the rest of the DCU. 52 was ok and left lots more unresolved plot threads. Countdown was a disaster. Secret Six minis rocked. Green Lantern and Justice Society still keep us hopeful. Final Crisis promised to explain what the heck has been going on since 2004 but will it? Has there been a master plan for the last 4 years that's about to pay off or have they been making it up as they go along? When will the 1843 dangling plot threads be addressed. Earl.
