The stroy is going in a different direction and it seems to be a good direction to go in.  Sure kill Rick's wife and "child"... disturbing, YES, but they are now out of the prison and as Willie Nelson says.... "On the Road Again"....

I'm still with it, and I'm enjoying the new direction. I just got a friend to give it a try too, and he's loving it. Still one of the best two or three books out there, IMO.

I agree it's definitely one of the top books going right now and one I really look forward to when I know it's coming out.  I didn't hate the prison arc as much as some people have but I definitely like the new direction.  I'm convinced the guy who claims to know how the plague happened is one of those conspiracy guys you can find on the net.

I just got the first three trades for Christmas.  Needless to say I just bought number 9 and loving it.  One of the best series out there.  Although I will most likely wait for each trade to come out.

Yes, that is my daughter with Michael Turner.  He was the greatest.

Come on guys, no posts recently????

What does everyone think about Rick going back to his home town??

"They are blind to history's clear lesson, for history teaches with unmistakable emphasis that appeasement but begets new and bloodier war. It points to no single instance where this end has justified that means, where appeasement has led to more than a sham peace. Like blackmail, it lays the basis for new and successively greater demands until, as in blackmail, violence becomes the only other alternative."

"Why," my soldiers asked of me, "surrender military advantages to an enemy in the field?" I could not answer.

I have to say that the Walking Dead's new direction is refreshing.  New characters and you really have no idea what's going to happen next.  Still my favorite book out.

I've switched to the TPB and am waiting for vol. 10    I thought you were supposed to keep this going.
