he says it is a super sized comic. he might mean reprint. if it were real the bidder wouldn't have been lucky.

There IS a reprint, but it looks like this:

Says 'Free' instead of 10c and 'Collectors edition' instead of '64 pages of action'. I guess it could be an outright fake though.

That's the famous first edition (C-28) with the cover missing.  Overstreet even has a warning about that one in it's listing for Detective #27 and for Famous First Edition.
